Mr. Sikandar Mustafa Khan is the Chairman of Millat Group of Companies. He also serves as a member on the Board of Engineering Development, LUMS and is the Vice Chairman of Board of Governors at NAMAL Institute. He has had a range of experience in the automotive & engineering industry since 1972. . Mr. Khan has varied experience in the Automotive & Engineering Industry and has been associated with it since 1972. He joined Naya Daur Motors Ltd., under the control of Pakistan Automobiles Corporation, Ministry of Production and was transferred to Millat Tractors Ltd. in 1977. He was appointed as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Millat Tractors Limited (MTL) in October 1985 in the Public sector, and was elected Chairman of the Board in 1991 after privatization. In pursuance of the Privatization Policy of the Government, he undertook the challenge of leading his team for the Employee’s Buy-out of MTL. He successfully arranged the financial package and structured a deal to complete the privatization of the Government’s shareholding of MTL and became the Chairman of Millat Group of Companies including the associated companies; Bolan Castings Limited, Millat Equipment Limited and Millat Industrial Products Limited as a subsidiary of Millat Tractors Limited. Mr. Khan was the Chairman of the Pakistan Chapter and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, London, U.K. till June 2015. He was the Vice President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) for the period October 1997 to September 1998 and Chairman of Pakistan Business Council during the year 2013-14. He was the founding Chairman, Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and the Chairman of Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) appointed by the Government of Punjab in an honorary capacity (1998-2008); for ten years. He served on the board of Habib Bank Ltd. , Bank of Punjab and also on several boards in the Private and Public sectors from time to time. Mr. Khan received a Master’s in Production Engineering (DIC) from Imperial College, and has a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of New-Castle Upon Tyne and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology.
