Javaid Iqbal is a global technology executive with over twenty-five years of experience driving intricate business and technology transformation initiatives for esteemed Fortune 500 conglomerates and government organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia. A renowned thought leader, he has delivered keynotes on a diverse range of topics, such as Customer Centricity, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Digital Sales, Technology Ecosystems, and Skills for the Future of Work, on numerous prestigious platforms, including Allan Lloyds, Global Shapers of World Economic Forum, Informa, Allah Lloyds Group,GSMA, Boston Consulting Group, Institute of Supply Management (ISM), Institute of Business Administration (IBA), ACCA, Startup Grind, ITCN Asia, and Institute of Regional Studies (IRS), to mention only a few. In 2019, he was one of seven global professionals who were invited by Google to speak on ‘The Future of Artificial Intelligence and Humanity’.

Mr. Iqbal currently holds the position of Executive Director and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the Special Technology Zone Authority (STZA) in the Government of Pakistan. In this role, he is responsible for developing and overseeing a legislative agenda aimed at nurturing technology-driven knowledge ecosystems across the country. He leads a global commercial strategy, focusing on establishing partnerships with leading technology organizations, research institutions, investors, and venture capitalists to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) to Pakistan’s tech sector. Mr. Iqbal advocates for economic growth in Pakistan through research and innovation, and he is recognized as an expert in this domain, delivering keynote speeches at prestigious conferences and contributing to national publications. He has created and led executive-level training programs on digital innovation and technology governance for top organizations globally.

He began his career at EY and PwC, where he played a crucial role in leading transformation efforts for major global entities. Subsequently, he transitioned to smaller, focused, and agile consultancies in senior roles. He has collaborated with several distinguished clients, including GE, Motorola, Dell, Bank of New York, Procter & Gamble, Caterpillar, Eli Lilly, Abbott, Medtronic, several leading public sector organizations in the United States, Bank Alfalah, Beaconhouse Group, and Engro Corporation. He is a certified Board Director by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, a Council Member, and an Advisor at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) and Lynk Global. Throughout his career, he has held various senior leadership positions, including Customer Engagement and Success Leader at Salesforce in the North American region and CEO of TransformX, a global consultancy that provides advisory and educational services in digital transformation, customer experience, communications as a service, and technology disruption/innovation space across Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Europe. He has since been mentoring startups across the Middle East and at National Incubation Centers. His accomplishments and leadership have garnered him several accolades, including being nominated as a “Global 200 CX Thought Leader” by Engati in 2021 and receiving an Excellence Award for “Best Digital Transformation Leader” by CXO Global in 2023.
Mr. Iqbal holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University and a master’s degree in Communication Systems Strategy and Management from Northwestern University, where his research focused on global enterprise communication. He has held a graduate level professorship at DePaul University in the US, teaching Customer Relationship Management & Intranet Technologies.
