Javaid Iqbal is the Chief Commercial Officer (Member & Executive Director) at the Special Technology Zones Authority of Government of Pakistan. He spent the last two decades spearheading large-scale complex business and technology transformation efforts for global Fortune 500 conglomerates and federal, state and local governments across North America, Europe & Asia. He previously served as a Customer Engagement and Success Leader at Salesforce in the North American region and most recently as the CEO of TransformX, a global consultancy focusing on advisory and education in the digital transformation, customer experience, technology disruption and innovation space.
Javaid started his career in the US based Strategic Technology Practice of EY and later moved on to the Financial Services practice of PwC where he led transformation efforts for banks at Wall Street. Some of the notable career clients have included Bank of New York, GE, Procter & Gamble, Motorola, Dell, Caterpillar, Eli Lilly, Abbott, US Federal Drug Authority, US Postal Service, US Dept. of Commerce, Obama Administration, Bank Alfalah and Engro Corporation. Javaid also speaks globally on Customer Centricity, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Digital Sales, and the Future of Work. In 2019, he was one of the 7 speakers invited by Google to speak on the ‘Future of Artificial Intelligence and Humanity’ and was named Global 200 CX Thought Leader by Engati. Some of his other speaking engagements have been with The Boston Consulting Group, Infosys, The Institute of Supply Management, Informa, Ovum, and CX Summit.
Javaid attended Purdue University for his undergraduate studies in Computer Information Systems and holds a Master’s degree in Communication Systems Strategy and Management from Northwestern University where the focus of his academic research was bridging the business, technology and communication gap across global enterprises. He mentors Pakistani startups at the National Incubation Center, is a trained Independent Board Director by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, a Council Member and Advisor at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) and Lynk Global (leading global knowledge platforms) and a former graduate level professor of Customer Relationship Management and Intranet Technologies at DePaul University (USA).
