Hamza is a certified science and technology ecosystem professional, and an experienced strategy, planning, regulatory affairs, client management and commercial diplomacy executive; working at the intersection of technology, public policy, infrastructure, knowledge and society. Hamza is also a well-known thought leader on US$ 62 Billion CPEC project and has worked on various aspects of projects related to power, infrastructure and Special Economic Zones under CPEC.

Moreover, Hamza is the Founder of prestigious International China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (#ICPECW), one of the most influential platforms for the private sector and government leaders to influence national policymaking related to industrial cooperation, commercial diplomacy and governance under CPEC. The workshop is jointly organised by Obortunity Consulting and ISSRA, National Defence University and is held annually in Islamabad, Beijing and Gwadar.

The U.S. Department of State selected Hamza for IVLP, a premier professional exchange program for current and emerging foreign leaders around the world. Similarly, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Government of Australia awarded Hamza with a Fellowship at Australia National University on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the rule of law.

Hamza is currently serving at a leadership role in the apex federal government body to transform Pakistan’s technology landscape through setting up world-class special technology zones for job creation, technology transfer, tech infrastructure development, ease of doing business and knowledge creation.

Hamza has previously advised and worked in government bodies, supranational entities, foreign government enterprises, think tanks, and private sector firms on institutional development, cross-border investments (Inbound), strategic communications, regulatory affairs, strategic planning, and operations optimisation.

Hamza is a graduate of Lahore University of Management Science (LUMS) with double majors in Economic and Mathematics. He also holds certification from Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of People’s Republic of China in construction of Science and Technology Parks.
