At Cohort 6 & 7 Graduation at National Incubation Center Karachi (NICK), a roundtable on “The current economic climate and its impact on startups in Pakistan” was held. Chief Commercial Officer Javaid Iqbal and Chief Information Officer Abdul Rahim Ahmad from Special Technology Zones Authority – STZA were part of the prestigious panel which included leaders from public and private sectors along with a few startup founders.
Discussions encompassed finding solutions to challenges being faced by startups in the country and how to involve key stakeholders from government and the startup ecosystem to enable strategic collaboration. A key takeaway from the discussion was the importance of changing mindsets around fundraising and removing barriers to it.
