One Window Signing Ceremony

Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Islamabad, Mr. Asim Ahmad said that IT industry should expect good news in the upcoming federal budget.

He was addressing the Special Technology Zones Authority’s contract signing for the development and implementation of the One Window Portal System (STZA). He claimed that as the government’s apex revenue collection body, FBR plays a critical role in fostering a business-friendly environment. “The STZA One Window Portal will make it easier for both domestic and international investors.” It will also be linked in real-time with FBR and Customs systems, according to Mr. Ahmed. The FBR Chairman went on to say that the tax collection agency was dedicated to providing all necessary assistance to STZA in this area, adding that a working group has been formed which will work with PRAL and PSW.

Chairman Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA), Mr. Amer Hashmi and CEO Systems Limited, Mr. Asif Peer also spoke at the event and said that increasing ease of doing business is vital for technology enablement and transformation in Pakistan. Senior thought-leaders from Industry, Academia and Government also graced the ceremony.
