Chairman STZA meets CM Sindh

Sindh Government and STZA agree on the development of Special Technology Zones in the province.
The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, held a meeting with Mr. Amer Hashmi, the Chairman of the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) in Karachi. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Masroor Ahmed Qureshi the Chief Operating Officer at STZA, Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, the Vice-Chancellor of NED University of Engineering and Technology, and Mr. Arif Ali Shah Bukhari, the Chancellor of KASBIT and Chairman of KASB Foundation.
A comprehensive strategy for the development of Special Technology Zones (STZs) in KASB altitude tower, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, and other Universities were discussed. These STZs are envisioned to foster innovation and attract leading technology entrepreneurs, startups, academia, as well as the research and development sector.
The STZs will equip the human capital in Sindh with advanced technical skills, by creating knowledge ecosystems in the Province. To implement this strategic plan, the Government of Sindh and STZA have agreed to conduct regular meetings for ongoing cooperation on the development of the STZs in Sindh and to explore emerging areas of cooperation.
Chief Minister Sindh greatly appreciated this initiative and pledged his government’s resolute support for the development of the technology industry in the Province through the development of STZs. Chairman Amer Hashmi also appreciated the Government of Sindh for their support for the establishment of technology clusters and STZs across Sindh, which will significantly contribute to the sustainable socio-economic and development in the Province.
